How to play Rummy 500
- Tap Play now. Rummy 500 opens right here in your web browser.
- Choose a level: Easy, Medium or Harder.
- You and the computer each get 13 cards. On your turn, take the top card of the deck, or take cards from the discard pile.
- You may take a card deep in the discard pile, with every card above it, but you must use that deepest card right away. The game does it for you.
- Tap cards in your hand to pick them, then tap Put down to lay a set (3 or 4 of one rank) or a run (3 or more in a row in one suit).
- To add a card to any set or run on the table, pick the card and tap the green set or run.
- End your turn by picking one card and tapping Discard. Cards you put down score for you; cards left in your hand count against you when the hand ends.
- Take your time. There is no clock and no rush.
- When you finish, try the same level again or move up a level.
Three levels
- Easy: A short game to 200 points. The computer plays simply.
- Medium: A game to 300 points. The computer digs into the discard pile when it helps.
- Harder: A full game to 500 points. The computer avoids feeding your melds.
Why people enjoy it
Rummy 500 has been a family favorite for generations because there is always something to do: every card you lay down counts, and a well timed dig into the discard pile can turn a hand around. Here the cards are large, the score is kept for you, and the computer waits patiently for your move.
